About this Position

Regional Sales Executive

Tokyo, Japan

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Prospect new accounts, generate interest, qualify, develop and close new business.
  • Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals assigned to the territory.
  • Develop an overall business and account plan leading to the deployment of a well-executed team selling effort into the assigned accounts. Team will include sales, corporate management, and technical sales support.
  • Focus on Customer Satisfaction and retention.
  • Prospect new large accounts, generate interest, qualify, develop and close new business
  • Support sales opportunities generated from marketing activities and reseller partners, and develop sales opportunities independently through leads, cold calls, market research, and networking
  • Operate independently and effectively manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through close while leveraging pool of resources that includes Sales Engineers, Channel Managers and other sales resources available.
  • Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals assigned to the defined Account List
  • Develop an overall business plan leading to the deployment of a well-executed team selling effort into the assigned accounts. Team will include sales, corporate management, and technical sales support.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts on a quarterly/annual basis.
  • To market the company, ensuring that the organization receives positive exposure to enhance the brand image in the account.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Utilizes references and industry contacts within the territory to increase sale

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must have an exceptional track record selling high-end networking solutions, into mid-market accounts.
  • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of direct selling experience.  Established relationships in the industry are a big plus.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of these: Data Storage, Application Performance Management,  Networking/Communications, Systems Software
  • Individual must possess excellent communication / presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels within customer and partner organizations.
  • Track record of exceeding quotas year after year.
  • Exceptional selling, negotiating, and presentation skills are mandatory.
  • Resides in the targeted geography w/local relationships
  • Good working experience with key local resellers and experience establishing and fostering strong Channel Partner relationships
  • Experience using salesforce.com or similar CRM / SFA.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education standard.
