    We have a superb opportunity for an outstanding Channel Marketer here at Riverbed EMEA.


    Reporting to the Senior Director, EMEA Marketing, we are looking for a  Senior Channel Marketing Manager EMEA , ideally with a software background, to drive Channel Marketing  for our indirect routes- to-market featuring Distribution, Value-added resellers, regional System Integrators, and Solution Providers.


    This is a people management position, so having experience of managing people is important, either directly, or virtually.  The candidate will be used to rolling their sleeves up and have hands-on, practical experience in developing, executing and supporting best-practice channel programs, campaigns and activities across the EMEA Geo for a software channel.


    We are looking for creative thinker, who can bring new, fresh ideas on how Riverbed can recruit, enable and grow a new cohort of software based Channel partner.


    This role is pivotal leadership role within EMEA Marketing and will be responsible for driving our Riverbed story, to, through and with our Partner ecosystem, building incremental pipeline and enabling our Partner community to lead with Riverbed solutions into their customer base.


    We are seeking a great relationship builder, thinking of the needs of our field first, and collaborative in your approach. This position will work extensively with all members of the EMEA marketing team, Global Channel Marketing, and EMEA Channel sales teams, and you must be able to work within a matrixed organization as well as work well independently.


    The successful candidate will be a super smart, dynamic, fun, people-person that is excited to be part of a growing company and can take EMEA channel marketing, here, at Riverbed to the next level.




    • Your remit will be to set the EMEA Channel marketing strategy, supporting the EMEA Field and EMEA Channels plan for the year 
    • You will need to plan and create programs to recruit software Channel partners via our ecosystem of Distributors and directly – leveraging our award winning Riverbed Rise partner program.
    • Manage the Channel Marketing budget – both the OPEX and MDF spend. This will include driving the planning cadence with the field teams quarterly allocations
    • Collaborate with Channel Sales teams across regions to support driving Channel led pipeline build
    • Set your goal for marketing pipeline from the channel, take ownership for it, and influence the field teams to achieve it.
    • You will be used to building senior relationships within channel partners, at an EMEA level, and represent Riverbed at Partner/ Distributor board meetings and EMEA QBRs.
    • Drive execution of Channel programs driving true ROI
    • People management of the EMEA Channel marketing manager.  
    • Liaise and work in collaboration with global channel marketing who support System Integrators & Service Provider partners, driving transparency and best practices and programs across Riverbed regional geographies.
    • Be accountable for your success. Deliver against KPIs


    • Ability to manage, motivate people and virtual teams
    • An expert Project manager – and have the ability to lead in a matrixed organisation
    • An awesome influencer - driving influence globally for the needs of EMEA Channel marketing.
    • Think creatively
    • Marketing experience in a software based company
    • Worked within a field-facing/channel facing marketing role
    • Used to working in an EMEA role
    • Excellent marketing skills for program creation, planning and execution development
    • Demonstrable experience of how you have influenced Channel partners previously
    • A self-starter; be able to work independently and flexibly and with remote based management
