    About this Position

    This position will report directly to the Director Marketing Operations & Analytics, and will play a critical role in supporting the analysis, execution and measurement of growth initiatives within the Theater.   The role is a critical role that will work collaboratively with all members of the EMEA Marketing organization as part of a Regional Demand Center (product marketing, channel marketing field marketing and programs development).  The position will work closely with the WW Marketing Operations Function based in our US Headquarters in San Francisco.

     

    The ideal candidate has deep expertise in working with marketing automation systems such as SFDC (SalesForce.com)/Eloqua/Tableau and is comfortable reviewing/planning and managing a range of outbound marketing activities, including field marketing activities, digital marketing, and tele-marketing. You are also driven to design, test and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns through comprehensive reporting and analytics.

     

    Riverbed is a matrixed organization that requires individuals to work across teams and also to work independently therefore the relevant communication and organization skills to support this role are essential.  The role will also involve engagement with Sales Management & Sales operations across the region and from time to time will involve international travel.

     

    The selected candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.  A requirement for the position is the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy in their analysis, recommendations and reporting.     An individual who excels at resolving issues, un-covering new trends and insight and is motivated by enabling the growth of a revenue stream and supporting our Riverbed Selling culture will do well in this role.    A collaborator with a can do attitude and the ability to manage and execute numerous projects simultaneously will thrive in this team.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Support the process for the timely management of marketing leads, lead flow and lead handover to Sales teams within the Theater.  Ensure all process steps are best optimized and working to agreed SLA’s. 
    • Own the relationship with Global Marketing Operations teams to communicate any issues or requirements with process for resolution/scope of work to relevant systems owners.  Ensure solution, fix and resolutions are responded to within agreed SLA’s
    • Manage lead scoring program(s) and continuously refine based off of buying cycles, personas and sales feedback
    • Liaise with all reporting systems owners across the organization to ensure closed loop reporting is continuously improving as integrated marketing and sales process are developed. Working with SFDC, Eloqua, MS Excel, Tableau, Omniture.
    • Manage EMEA tele-marketing agency and ensure process, SLA adherence.
    • Provide recommendations for new process development and develop workflows and schematics to support understanding across teams.
    • Ensure Data management governance is communicated to all stakeholders as directed by Global Teams.   Liaise with all 3rd party data providers for standardization and normalization of data quality within Riverbed systems.
    • Oversee lead nurturing and assignment activities, working with sales organization to develop SLA’s to ensure follow up and conversion.
    • Define business analytics and create dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution, and overall business performance.
    • Understand complex buying/selling processes involving multiple decision-makers, then implement changes in the way we provide customer experience.   Liaise with EMEA Program management to review different sequencing of emails and high touch support.


     

    Growth Enablement

     

    • Support the analysis of proposed marketing activity for a Return on Investment Analysis, scoping market sizing, installed base analysis, sales play fit and the readiness of Riverbed system data to support execution.
    • Develop ad hoc and regular reporting to enable Marketing & Sales management teams plan for co-ordinated lead generation activity across regions.
    • Track the growth performance of the Demand Waterfall analysis to external accepted benchmarks.
    • Monitor the performance of account & pipeline coverage acceleration identifying areas for business development.
    • Understand key business development processes, document process maps, research industry best practices and self-initiate new projects based on findings.
    • Develop compelling market intelligence on key market trends and competitive landscape in conjunction with product marketing.
    • Utilize a combination of external data, internal metrics and subject matter expertise to drive business and market intelligence needs
    • Support Product Marketing to Source external intelligence data from various public and 3rd party sources
    • Identify areas of opportunity for new user growth, user engagement, content, partnerships, and acquisitions

     

    Qualifications:

    • 7 - 10 Years marketing experience in a high technology company, with a minimum of 5 years working with Marketing/Sales CRM systems/tools.
    • Experience in sales process management/sales enablement with a focus on process improvements.
    • Analytically driven with a solid commercial understanding.  A problem solver who likes to stay ahead.
    • Team and customer orientated.  Understands the big picture of the Demand Funnel, buyer processes and sales/marketing integration
    • Dependable, detail-oriented, well organized and naturally inquisitive
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Business or Technical Undergraduate Degree required; Masters degree is a plus
