    For "Zurich" we are looking for a dynamic and pro-active Inside Sales Representative to work closely with the Direct and Channel Sales Teams.


    About this Position


    We are seeking a Business Development Representative with a history of qualifying new business in medium to large accounts in a high tech environment. This is a strategic position in Riverbed Technology that is working closely with Marketing and the local sales organization to define, organize and execute a variety of lead and demand generation activities, creating and managing a large flow of leads and opportunities from major-,  enterprise- and midmarket accounts, resellers, and system integrators. The goal of this position is to accelerate the growth of Riverbeds local sales pipeline, contact prospects to qualify opportunities, mapping of existing accounts to determine if a Riverbed sales opportunity can provide business value to the prospect. With this role we are offering an opportunity for any candidate with a solid educational background to take the first step of a potential sales career in an US based ICT company learning the “business of sales” from the bottom up.


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Collaborate with marketing and sales on pipeline creating activities such as outbound “cold-calling”, events, seminars, webinars and ABM (Account based Marketing) initiatives
    • Support of account based sales campaigns through account research, co-creation of account plans and initiatives for a targeted account sales approach
    • Contact prospects and partners through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, mailings and seminars to communicate Riverbeds value proposition and generate interest
    • Outbound “cold-calling” to a defined set of target prospect accounts and outbound “warm-calling” on responses from marketing driven events to identify if there is a need for our technology
    • Outbound calling to invite prospects and customers to events and seminars
    • Ensure a seamless handoff of prospects and opportunities to the sales organization
    • Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional


    Job Requirements:

    • Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships with prospective and existing customers.
    • Work experience should include a minimum of 2 years Sales or sales support and enjoy working in a team environment.
    • An understanding of telecommunications, networking and IP technology solutions is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
    • BS/BA in a technical or business discipline is preferred.
    • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet, SFA tools, and MS Office tools.
