    About this Position

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Regional Marketing Manager for the UK and Ireland.


    Reporting to the Senior Director Marketing EMEA, the Regional Marketing Manager will act as the marketing lead for the UK and Ireland region.  You will be a strong collaborator, working closely with field leadership teams, field sales teams, channel sales, Global and EMEA marketing teams to develop, manage and execute innovative marketing initiatives throughout the UK&I.


    Managing one of Riverbed’s largest regions, we are looking for a savvy, energetic marketer, someone who knows this market, understands the customer and partner landscape, predominantly in the enterprise space, is a strong relationship builder and a true partner to sales teams.



    The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the marketing strategy, focusing on supporting the regional sales horizontal and vertical priorities, planning the quarterly marketing budget, organizing and executing programs that generate sales qualified leads, tell our story in the market and work to support the Channel executing marketing campaigns. 



    This is a high energy, hands on environment and you must be an organized individual with the ability to develop, implement and manage all marketing agencies and activities in region.

    Key functions:

    • Strategic: Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing marketing plans that illustrate alignment to sales and EMEA Marketing priorities, allocate the marketing budget spend and demonstrate expected ROI.
    • Creative: Plan for a creative mix of activities, online and offline, raising the bar, ensuring the Riverbed brand is acknowledged.
    • Awareness: Work collaboratively with our Corporate communications team to ensure innovative brand, thought leadership and awareness activities are executed in the market
    • Regional events: Scheduling, execution, and management of exciting, thought provoking and relevant regional events, customer forums, user groups, and other activities that accelerate opportunities and optimize presence within the customer and prospect base. 
    • Regional Channel Marketing: Develop and maintain relationships across Channel partners to increase loyalty, understanding and buy-in of Riverbed solutions and the collaborative marketing plan.  Includes in-field Market Development Funds planning.
    • Marketing Performance Management:  Responsible for Marketing budget planning, execution, and ROI management - driving the demand generation waterfall for the region (forecast, measure, report on impact of programs)
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with Riverbed sales, Global and EMEA marketing, to drive all aspects of the marketing mix, including PR, Digital, Demand Gen, and Channel and Marketing operations. 
    • Virtual teaming: Lead projects by teaming up with other members of the wider organization, agencies and Partners.
