    About this Position

    TECHNICAL STEELFUSION SOLUTION ARCHITECT (PRE-SALES)

     

    LOCATION: UK, Bracknell

     

    Riverbed is a pre-IPO opportunity with over $1 billion in revenue headquartered in San Francisco with branch offices around the globe.

    Responsibilities:

    • Become part of the Global SteelFusion Solution Architect team and the Cloud Edge business family
    • Focus on SteelFusion technical sales in your region
    • Maintain current competitive product knowledge and Riverbed ROI
    • Provide intensive pre-sales technical consulting to prospective customers and channel partners; some post-sales may also be required
    • Perform technical qualification of opportunities
    • Participate in conference calls and WebEx meetings with customers and partners
    • Give technical whiteboards or presentations and act in an advisory role to customers and partners
    • Assist in the development of formal sales proposals (RFIs, RFPs)
    • Oversee the customer proposal process to ensure the product mix addresses all customer requirements, including relevant solution designs and requirements
    • Support account management with open and direct communication, timeliness, and superior work ethic
    • Investigate new solution areas for product extensions
    • Help mentor, qualify and train Riverbed Channel partners in the assigned territory
    • Design and manage Proof of Concept evaluations while demonstrating ROI and value to the customer

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Have a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or equivalent pre-sales solution architect experience
    • A strong knowledge of virtualization including vSphere and vCenter is required
    • VMware certification and experience with other virtualization technologies is a big plus
    • A strong knowledge of storage and systems is required
    • Hyperconverged Infrastructure and Converged Infrastructure experience is a big plus
    • Experience with and knowledge of modern networking technology, including: TCP/IP, routing, switching and application behavior is a plus
    • Have excellent verbal and written communication ability, including technical presentation skills
    • Able and willing to travel approximately 50% throughout your assigned territory.
