    About this Position

    Responsibilities include:


    • Prospect directly and independently new accounts, generate interest, qualify, develop and close new business.
    • Retain, nourish and grow existing strategic customer accounts.
    • Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals assigned to the territory.
    • Work closely with partners, resellers and distributors and follow up joint pipeline and new business.
    • Develop an overall business and account plan leading to the deployment of a well-executed team selling effort into the assigned accounts. Team will include sales, corporate management, and technical sales support.
    • Focus on Customer Satisfaction and retention.




    • Must have an exceptional track record selling high-end software or hardware solutions, preferably in the data storage, networking, and caching or systems software areas, to large enterprise or Government accounts
    • As Riverbed is moving away from transactional business, we are looking for a candidate with a background from solutions selling and business value sales
    • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of direct selling experience with documented results. Established relationships in the industry are a big plus.
    • Strong knowledge of at least one of these: Application Performance Management (APM), Network Performance Management (NPM), Data Storage, Network Communications, Systems Software
    • Individual must possess excellent communication / presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels within customer and partner organizations. Fluent in both Norwegian and English both written and orally.
    • The right candidate will have good intrapersonal skills, which can weigh-up for any lack of experience.
    • Track record of exceeding quotas year after year.
    • Exceptional selling, negotiating, and presentation skills are mandatory. Ensuring commitment and closure.
    • Thrive on selling value and understanding the additional investment in choosing a premium service fully outweighs the potential cost of doing business with a cheaper but inferior alternative!
    • Territory planning and management, opportunity forecasting, demand generation, and fulfillment logistics.
    • Leadership of a cross-functional sales team (telesales, reseller partners, and distributer coordination) to deliver significant market-share growth in this territory.
    • Resides in the targeted geography w/local relationships
    • Good working experience with key local resellers and experience establishing and fostering strong Channel Partner relationships
    • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM / SFA.
    • Bachelor degree or equivalent education standard
