    About this Position

    Title: Technical Solutions Architect, SteelCentral 

    Location: Sydney


    Responsibilities

     

    • Support and lead large scale enterprise transactions.
    • Gain a deep understanding of the customer’s business as well as their technical environment and map Riverbed performance management solutions to customers business drivers.
    • Provide technical leadership, ownership and management of Proof of Concept for key customers for the Riverbed performance management solutions with the goal of demonstrating solution fit and business value.
    • Confidently present to technical audience as well as business and IT stakeholders.
    • Stay abreast of competitors and the trends in performance management industry and serve as a trusted advisor to customers. 
    • Guide, coach and lead sales teams in applying the appropriate Riverbed Performance management solutions to customer needs.
    • Partner with the sales teams during the sales cycle in a supportive position with the focus on pre-sales activities – including (but not limited to) qualification, technical presentations, demonstrations, proposals/RFPs/RFIs and successful technical closure.
    • Evangelize new product features & provide customer’s feedback to Riverbed product management and engineering teams.
    • Partner with channel sales managers to drive enablement of partners to position and demonstrate Riverbed performance management solutions.
    • Participate as a speaker in key company events and other marketing related activity as required.
    • Become a thought leader both internally and externally around driving business value and customer outcomes with Riverbed performance management solutions
    • Ensure that accurate & regular reports are completed and submitted as per business requirements.
    • Able to travel primarily in ANZ (35%-50%) but also in other parts of Asia-Pacific as required.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in a pre-sales role, with a deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and various selling strategies.
    • Strong knowledge in Application Performance monitoring and digital performance management domains.
    • Experience in application performance management and ability to stitch front end performance issues from web browsers, thick client apps, VDI to the backend application servers and databases.
    • Prior experience in either positioning end user experience monitoring solutions as presales engineer or using end user experience solution to troubleshoot end user performance issues.
    • Experience in network and infrastructure performance analysis using netflow, packet analysis, SNMP and WMI is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Experience in performance monitoring of mobile applications would be advantageous.
    • Past experience in devops / software development cycles is preferred
    • Hands on experience in Python scripting would be advantageous..
    • AWS certification such as AWS certified solution architect (associate or professional) would be advantageous.
    • Cloud-based technology experience such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes, Openstack, Cloud Foundry and Openshift would be advantageous.
    • Hands on experience with competing End User Experience and Application Performance Management solutions is desired. Additionally, hands on experience with NPM solutions will be preferred.
    • BS/MS in computer science, electrical/electronic/software engineering or equivalent experience
