    About this Position

    Position Summary


    The Senior Consultant performs technical delivery and administrative tasks as part of internal and customer-facing projects.  In addition, the Senior Consultant will manage and execute smaller projects independently. The Senior Consultant will be an expert in the field of APM/NPM and is expected to have broad experience in deploying APM/NPM products and delivering tactical services to customers ranging from performance troubleshooting and optimisation to the deployment of full APM/NPM solutions.

      • Take responsibility for the delivery APM/NPM solutions and services provided to our client base

      • Be considerate and inclusive with clients and colleagues
      • Bring approach and structure but make sure advice is actionable
      • Demonstrate high levels of technical expertise and experience
      • Understand cultural and commercial needs in delivery of client engagements
      • Assist with the development and improvement of consultancy services delivery and methodologies.
      • Contribute positively to practice and company utilisation and revenue targets
      • Take personal responsibility for timely and accurate completion of internal administrative and delivery related process and procedures
    • Internal & External Relationships
      • Coach, mentor and support colleagues across the organisation as required
      • Contribute to practice and company development
      • Create and manage positive internal relationships that are long-term focused
      • Create and manage strong external relationships with the company’s business partners that raise profiles and awareness of personal, practice and company capabilities
    • Business Development
      • Understand the company’s position and focus and be able to confidently present and articulate it
      • Support pre-sales activities with client and potential client meetings
      • Contribute to proposal and statement of work (SoW) creations activities as required.
      • Understand value propositions and approaches for potential client engagements
      • Supporting the development of follow on business with existing clients
      • Supporting bid efforts for new projects and engagement

      • Take responsibility for personal skills development in accordance with company process
      • Identify development requirements and implement plans to continuously learn and improve
      • Maintain and develop primary skills in support of the practice and company goals
      • Develop cross-discipline skill sets..


    Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications


    • Minimum of 5 years related work experience with 1-3+ years in a Consulting role (or equivalent)
    • Technical problem-solving ability with demonstrated ability to learn quickly
    • Someone with a Vendor background is a plus
    • Broad knowledge of vendor APM/NPM products and solutions
    • Broad understanding of network management techniques
    • Broad knowledge of application architectures and delivery mechanisms.
    • Ability to understand business requirements and challenges and transform these into technical solutions
    • Ability to think conceptually and to deliver practical results
    • Proven ability to successfully communicate at all levels up to senior management
    • Positive customer service attitude
    • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment
    • Willing to travel 50-70% of the time.
    • Working knowledge of at least 1 of the following Technical Skills:
      • Application Performance Management products and techniques.
      • Network Performance Management products and techniques
      • Application architecture and development (.NET and/or Java a significant plus)
      • Proven track record protocol analysis, application and transaction profiling/benchmarking, prediction and optimization.
    • Following are Technical Skills desired but not necessary a must:
      • Virtualization experience with VMware systems and software a plus.
      • Experience with packet traces and generic utilities (tcpdump, wireshark, etc) a plus.
      • Ability to create scripts (eg. Perl, Python, VB) a plus.
